Unit Analysis

This class we learned about dimensional analysis.

Here are the steps:
1. Identify the units that you want to end up with
2. Find a conversion factor
3. Place units in a correct place
4. canceling units
So you want to convert grams into pounds, when you set up your equation you want to cancel out the grams so you must place them opposite, so at the denominator. It takes 1000 grams to make one kilogram. Now changing it again into pounds, the kilogram needs to canceled out so place the unit in the denominator again. It takes 2.2 pounds to make a kilogram. Now you multiply across, then divide from the bottom. That's how you get your answer.
